Merhaba. This is Kamara's website. We are an Istanbul based film production company founded in 2011. The company is run by director/editor Eytan Ipeker and producer/director Yoel Meranda.

We've produced Mehmet Can Mertoğlu's first feature Albüm which won the France 4 Visionary Award at 2016 Cannes Film Festival's Semaine de la Critique section. The film went on to win the Best Feature Film at Sarajevo, Best First Feature at Jerusalem, Special Award at Sevilla’s New Waves section, Special Jury Prize at Belgrade Auteur Film Festival, Best First Feature at Piran and Best Director at Adana. It also screened, among others, at New Directors/New Films, Taipei Golden Horse, AFI, Warsaw, Melbourne, Vancouver, Stockholm, Mumbai and Rio Film Festivals. Albüm is a Turkey-France-Romania-Germany co-production, co-produced by Arte France Cinéma, Cedomir Kolar, Danis Tanovic and Calin Peter Netzer, supported by Eurimages, Romanian National Film Center and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg. The film is being distributed worldwide by The Match Factory. It will be distributed in France on May 2017 by Le Pacte. If you’d like to know more about Albüm, you can read Variety’s review, Olivier Père’s comments, or check the poster & the trailer.

At the moment, we're producing Eytan Ipeker's first feature documentary co-produced by Snowglobe in Denmark and Spiro Films in Israel. The project is pre-sold to the Danish Broadcasting Corporation and supported by the New Film Fund in Turkey. You can see the trailer for Eytan's short film Unmade Bed (a co-production with Sartoris Films in Poland, which screened at Antalya and !f Istanbul film festivals) here and for his documentary Idil Biret: The Portrait of a Child Prodigy (which screened at the Istanbul, Sebastopol and Documentarist film festivals) here. Eytan also edited the American indie feature Walden: Life in the Woods produced by Shane Boris and executive produced by Scott Macaulay.

We’re also in the post-production of Yoel Meranda’s first narrative feature 200 filmed in Sarajevo and co-produced by in Bosna-Herzegovina. Yoel’s experimental works screened in Toronto, Edinburgh and Thessaloniki film festivals. His narrative short Hediye (A Gift) can be seen here.

Apart from Unmade Bed and A Gift, we've produced three other shorts: Sinan Kesova's new short Hinterlant (Outskirts), Can Eskinazi's Yaz Gecesi Gökyüzü (Summer Night Sky) distributed by Origine Films in France and Mehmet Can Mertoğlu's second short film Fer (Glimmer). We also line-produced Miss Zahra (a short film produced by Mjölk in Finland) which screened at Palm Springs.

We made commercials for Grey, DDB, Daniska, DDIP ad agencies, corporate videos for companies in Australia, Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey, and USA, a web series together with Altyazı Film Journal and concert shootings for Idil Biret. You can see our showreel here.
